As the current owners of the Hesketh Racing trademarks we have always wanted to see the marque ‘back on track’, but the ever spiralling costs of modern motorsport have rendered this dream an impossibility. Undeterred, we have devised an alternative solution under a new brand name, RetroSims.

The Hesketh 308 Simulator isn’t just inspired by the legendary 1975 Hesketh F1 car it is the car, recreated in exquisite detail for the digital era. Every curve, every pedal, every cockpit measurement has been faithfully reproduced from the original designs, giving drivers an experience that’s as close to the real thing as technology allows.
Hand-built in the UK and The Netherlands using professional-grade components, the 308 Simulator combines cutting-edge simulation with authentic mechanical feedback, from the manual gearbox and clutch pedal to the precise seating position and steering geometry.
This is a simulator for purists: no traction control, no driver aids, no compromises just raw, analogue driving thrill, capturing the spirit, audacity, and character of the original Hesketh 308.
Of course with the Official Hesketh Racing 308 Simulator you can always revert to paddle shift to make things easier, but if you’re going to drive the Heskeh 308 in 1975 RETRO mode you will need to find your INNER JAMES.

The Hesketh 308 Half-Scale is more than a model, it’s a sculpture of speed, capturing the audacious beauty and engineering spirit of one of Formula 1’s most iconic machines. Hand-built in the UK to exacting standards, each piece mirrors the lines, proportions, and detailing of the original 1975 Hesketh 308.
Crafted using precision CAD design and advanced fabrication techniques, every curve, cockpit contour, and suspension detail is recreated in stunning fidelity. The result is a museum-quality centrepiece, perfect for private collections, offices, or automotive-inspired interiors.
Following the 308’s debut, the collection will expand to include bespoke commissions, recreating personal cars from Aston Martin and Ferrari to other legendary Formula 1 machines. Each sculpture can be finished to individual specification, ensuring a one-of-one creation that reflects the owner’s passion for motorsport and design excellence.
The Hesketh 308 Half-Scale isn’t just a display — it’s a statement. A celebration of craftsmanship, heritage, and the timeless allure of speed.
THE HESKETH 308 TODAY
Nearly fifty years after its famous victory at Zandvoort, the Hesketh 308 continues to embody the spirit of fearless independence that defined its era.
Now owned by Fred Fatien, founder of GPX Racing in Dubai, chassis 308-2 remains a regular sight at Masters Historic Formula One events around the world, a living, breathing reminder of Hesketh’s bold entry into the top tier of motorsport. Meticulously maintained and raced with the same verve that once shocked the establishment, the 308 still commands attention wherever it appears.
In 2022, the car returned to the scene of its greatest triumph, the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, where Jenson Button took the wheel for a special demonstration run, marking the first time a Hesketh had driven the circuit in fifty years. The sound of its V8 once again echoed through the dunes, thrilling fans and rekindling memories of James Hunt’s iconic 1975 victory.
Today, the Hesketh 308 is more than a historic race car. It’s a symbol of audacity, proof that passion, courage, and imagination can still make history roar to life.

IN THE MOVIES
In 2013, Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard brought the golden era of Formula 1 to life with his film RUSH, starring Chris Hemsworth as James Hunt and Daniel Brühl as Niki Lauda.
The opening act of the film, the first twenty minutes, celebrates the wild, glamorous rise of Hesketh Racing, capturing the team’s rebellious spirit, champagne-fuelled charm, and sheer audacity as they crashed headlong into the world of Formula 1.
That story, and that car — the Hesketh 308 — defined an era.
Now, the same machine has been faithfully recreated in simulator form, allowing a new generation to experience the legend from the driver’s seat.

There is no better example of an ‘Against all odds’ story than the 1974 Hesketh Racing Formula 1 racing team.
With the maverick James Hunt at the wheel of the fabled Hesketh 308 F1 car and the extravagant, 23 year old Lord Hesketh at the helm, ‘The biggest little racing team in the world’, captured the public’s imagination.
Scorned by the established teams who considered them a bunch of public school boy amateurs with no place in the sport, Hesketh Racing audaciously challenged the big boys in their own back yard.
